Load cells are the quiet backbone of weighing. Failures often arrive as “the scale is broken”; Tartan separates cell, cable and junction box first — because a solid deck can still drift.

How we diagnose

One-sided error, zero shift and moisture/impact instability are typical. We check isolation, signal and mechanical seating, replace compression cells when needed, and tidy glands and junction boxes together. After replacement we verify level and first weighs.
