What are truck and lorry weighbridges?
Truck and lorry weighbridges deliver repeatable, high-throughput weighing for heavy vehicles, dumpers, tractors and trailers with durable steel platforms. Tartan vehicle scales are manufactured entirely from steel using current weighing technology. Standard platform sizes range from 3 m × 8 m / 9 m / 14 m / 16 m / 18 m / 20 m / 21 m / 22 m / 24 m, with capacities from 40 t to 150 t. Custom dimensions are available on request.
Installation, ramps and service access
Ready-made steel ramps can be fitted at the approaches. Platform heights of 24 cm, 27 cm and 30 cm adapt to site conditions. Platforms can be installed above ground or flush with the surface. Dedicated covers on the deck simplify load-cell maintenance. The modular structure is easy to dismantle and reassemble, reducing civil works cost compared with many alternatives.

Load cells and electronics
Compression-type load cells (30–50 t each) handle electronic weighing under the deck. Depending on capacity and size, systems use 4 or 10 load cells in total for accurate, repeatable truck weighing.
